We all know that the coming years are going to bring some really dark stuff. Unlike last time, we are walking into an administration that has actual plans for tyranny on day one. BUT here’s what I know…fascists hate fun. They hate joy and frivolity. They hate being fucked with. Anything but terrified compliance is unacceptable. I know that one of the greatest tricks for confusing and unhinging fascists is through joyful fuckery.
This year will require us to be flexible and responsive. We will need to strategize and rely on each other. To that end, the Patreon will continue to be a hub for community. It will also now serve as a fun-filled – you fucked around and now you will find out - organizing space.
This space will:
Provide endless resources for resisting what is coming
Build a community organizing hub to leverage the talents in this group to create a broader impact globally
A space for joy and connection with a side of productive rage

And, of course, creativity, making, and fun

A monthly book club focused on resistance and community organizing
Zoom gatherings for skill share, connection, and sometimes for disassociating ;)

Projects and collaborations
Skill share and trainings
I am SO EXCITED. It is going to be more important than ever that we are connected to a community of like(ish)minded humans from around the world who want to make positive change. I am thrilled to be able to offer up this hub and these services to you.
Weird times call for weird heroes! We are going to be the weird heroes that we need to stay sane, get through, and bring joyful menacing to our communities around the world.

Book Tour - Round 1
I have had an AMAZING time traveling about and meeting incredible humans on my book tour. So far I’ve covered Chicago, Evanston, Boston, Cambridge, Weymouth, Nashua, Portland, Darien, Philadelphia, Alexandria, and Iowa City. It has been inspiring and joyful. I am so grateful for everyone who has come out to support. I can’t wait to have even more fun and conversations in 2025.
Book Launch Fundraiser
The book launch/art party/fundraiser that I hosted on October 19th was a huge success! We featured the work of 18 art activist who were paid for their involvements because we…say it with me now…pay artists! The event was attended by ~300 people over the course of the evening. The raffle featured a quilt made by 80 generous artists and was won by a gal who is both a quilter and stitcher…she was VERY excited. We were able to donate $3000 to the Chicago Freedom School to support their work. Most importantly, it was a GREAT TIME with joyful energy and some sick beats. Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored an artist!!!!
